Wonder- Book review

 In room 14  we finally finished our book , Wonder. I'm sure everyone in my class learnt something because this book teaches you that: You shouldn't judge people on what they look like. Because its hard for those people who don't think their normal , It will be hard to make friends and lots of people stare and that's not a nice feeling.

We also had to think of who would make good characters in our class and I think these people should have a part in a movie.

Here is a short trailer about August and I rate this book 10/10. My favourite part was the end , because Auggie got a reward and everyone wanted to take pictures and stand next because he was so famous and no one cared about his face and then his mum said your a wonder Auggie your a wonder.

Maths with Bina.

Awww man! I thought I had the answer! but when I use the equipment I got the answer. But then we had to get into groups and get the answer and explain. Here are some photos of us working the problem out! Oh and a lady came in to teach us about the problem and her name was Bina! and we were making maths patterns with sticks.

So this is what the pattern kind of looks like.

To explain to my group I did a pattern with the sticks and they knew straight away that the answer was ......

also my group had the same answers but when we went down on the mat and we explained it to Bina she said we got it wrong then she explained it to us then we finally got the question and we went away and did it again and we got the right answer! YAY!.

Cross-country! 2015!

WHOO HOOO! that was an awesome run guys! sadly I wasn't there to enjoy it I was away (sad face) but you guys don't get to miss out because because i made a Kioza so you can see how they were doing! and who cam 1 2 3 in girls and boys

My speech!

Here is a video of me saying my speech! WHY WE SHOULD HAVE LOCKERS! Wow! what a day! I just read my speech out to the whole class! but I didn't get to any of the finals but I am still happy! because a lot of people gave me positive feedback and they really liked my speech!. I'm also very proud of myself because I tried my best!. When it came to the school speech finalist everyone was so excited because they were cheering for there friends. In our class Ivorn , Faiupu and Hermione made it to the finals! and Maasouama made it to but she is in room 15. But they did really well! and i think they did really great! and everyone who participated in the school finalist were really good! they each had a good pace and they had a original topic like  they didn't do the same speech topic. But i wish everyone could be in the speech finalist but we could only have 4 people so yeah and most of them got to the finals! and I hope one of them wins!.

C words for life

This is a presentation that me and my friends worked on and its all about c words for life so we just came up with some c words and we just wrote what the c word means. For example when you are working together with some people then that mean's you are collaborating and collaborating means working as a team.

A letter to Snow White

It’s cherry blossom your sister remember? and I was just writing to say that I read your book Snow white and the Dwarves that book has over 8 million hits online! and I have some feedback on your book so first... WHY DID YOU GO INTO A STRANGER'S HOUSE? YOU KNOW BETTER. I'm sure mum told you about stranger danger! i think you need some fresh lessons. She told all of us and I can’t believe that you disobeyed grumpy just because he’s in a bad mood all the time doesn't mean you should disobey him! and why would you listen to that old goldfish she looked like a witch! she had warts , pale skin and that gross apple :P and that prince ewww i don't like the look of him AND he’s a stranger to! and he just kissed you! and people say it’s love and first sight?. No way! plus you don't just marry a prince when you don't even know his name or his personality remember that movie frozen that we watched and that guy prince Hans and Anna thought that they were meant to be but they only knew each other for 6 hours and 3 days then he betrayed her because all he really wanted was Anna’s castle. I think i need to tell you the story again. But then Elsa Anna’s oldest sister froze arendelle the village that they live in then prince Hans tried to kill Elsa so that summer could come back but then Anna saved Elsa do we have to go see that movie again? so yeah anyways i loved the way you tried your best to act and i thought you were great at some of the parts like when you helped the dwarves with the washing and the cooking and you should come visit just you and maybe the prince and if he does come then he can go with leaf green our brother and me and you can have some girly time if you know what I mean go shopping do our nails and go to the pools and yeah so that's me bye! love you to the moon and back maybe ill come and visit you but I really have to go now bye! ;) :) Love cherry blossom. This is a letter to Snow White we had to pretend to be someone and tell snow white what she did wrong and what she did good in her book Snow White and the seven dwarves i was acting as Snow Whites sister Cherry Blossom.

learning about volume.

In Room 14 we were learning how calculate volume and i learnt how to use my multiplication to calculate the volume. For example on the 21 of June we calculated the volume of this box and the volume was 8,624 1 cm cubes.

It wasn't easy but our group got the answer in the end

These were the boxes, we had to calculate the volume but when Mrs Moore told us to estimate these boxes from smallest to biggest.

Jump rope for heart

 

May road school did jump rope for heart at diffrent times. On Thursday 28 may 2015. We were put into groups of 10 and we did diffrent activities, scroll down to see the activities that we did, By the way this is my friend Danae doing skipping!.

This is Me and my group doing group skipping.

This is Presley he's from Room 15 and he's doing relays with a skipping rope,this was activity 10 and 4.

This is Nejwa doing  independent  skipping independent means skipping by yourself.

This is Brandon he was in my group and he's skipping with a hoolahoop and Ezekiel the boy in the background was  also in my group and skipping with a skip it.

Tennis Term 2!

This term the school participated in tennis. I really enjoyed tennis because it helped me to develop my tennis skills because I'm a bit rusty but ever since tennis started I've been better then ever.

We had to balance the ball in the sweet spot. The sweet spot is in the middle of the racket.

Ben did it!

On the last day of tennis we had some rallies  and it was so fun. 

We played a game we had to get in buddies and we had to bounce the tennis ball to our buddies and we had to e just our feet to catch the ball. So basic'ly we were practising adjusting our feet.

        On Friday morning we went down to the staff room and baked some yummy Anzac biscuits! and they were  yummy  indeed!

Book tracks

Today I  read a book on book tracks , I read a book called if.
If was a interesting book but the best thing that I liked was the calming music that played with it and it made the book really realistic. It was a pretty short story but this book taught me that don't deal with a bully because you don't need that , the music just made me feel like threes nothing in the world for me to worry about.
